The 40 Hour Famine

hey guys
i have been looking into doing the 40 hour famine lately and i think that it is all thumbs up. The 40 hour famine is your chance to give something back to kids in need in laos and east timor. You can go without many different things to try raise some money for these kids you could go without food(most common one), furniture, technology or pretty much anything else thaat comes to mind. for every $40 u raise helps feeds and cares for eight kids for one month. i believe that the fourty hour famine is for a great cause and that everyone should take part with it and help out. it officially runs from 8pm on friday 17 to noon on sunday 19 august. the fourty hour famine is set up by world vision which sets up many fundraisers to help out people in need below the poverty line. You can sign up over the world vision website but for many of u, u can sign up through our school.

hey spazcat.
I totally agree with your views on the 40 hour famine! I think It is a great opportunity to help people less fortunate than our selves. I cant imagine not sleeping in my bed for a night let alone never sleeping in a bed! Raising money for people with less fourtune than us is a great way to feel good about yourself and is a great cause. I am thinking about doing it myself, anything but missing out on food for 40 hours I would probably die. anyway mate ill catchya later
