I dont believe that recreational drugs are really that bad. Recreational drugs such as alcohol and tobacco i dont think do much to the players if its a one of occasion and if they choose to do it. However if they continually keep taking them i think that there could be a problem there as these drugs ruin livers and lungs and make the sportman become unfit and healthy. I dont believe that players should be tested for taking recreational drugs because it is there own fault for taking them and they should be aware of the consiquences such as being bannned from playing there sport for a couple of weeks or untill they stop. If the sportsperson is taking sports enhancing drugs i think that it is a very big problem and that the person should be banned from playing the sport. Because it is not fair to all the other players if one person takes performance enhancing drugs and always wins due to it.

Gday mihalio,,,, I totally agree with you. A terrific example of this is Ben Cousins, addicted to elicit drugs before the season started Ben counsins was sent on a quest to regather himself and focous on his life. The club didnt care if he never played football again, the hoped he would but they were more concerned about his health and his life. Now Ben Cousins has made a huge bang entering the AFl with serveral best on ground performances. Pulling a hamstring last week has taken him out of the finals, his team will miss him dearly this week as they battle to keep their september dreams alive.
